In general, diabetic patient can eat papaya but only about 50gms. It is rich in Vitamin A , C and Betacarotone In my recipe I have used for one serving 4 or 5 pieces which will be less than 50 gms. I have used soya milk instead of cow/buffalo milk. This will help diabetics to avail all the benefits of eating a fruit and at the same time not increase the blood glucose level.
Above all everything depends on what suits you. Some people can have it and some cannot. Best way is to check your glucose after eating papaya. If your blood sugar level increases by over 150 point , consider seriously whether you can eat it.
